Bolens Series 1455 "Husky" lawn tractor, from late 1960s
Bolens Series 1455 "Husky" garden tractor with 14 horsepower Wisconsin engine and hydrostatic transmission (treadle petal), manufactured in the late 1960s. This tractor was purchased new by my dad and his father (my grandfather). Shown here with rototiller attachment; it's still in service to this day. Bentley 6.5-litre six-speed sports car from 1929
Bentley 6.5-litre six-speed automobile, manufactured in 1929, on display at the Gilmore Car Museum in Michigan. Although clearly not the 4.5-liter with Amherst-Villiers supercharger described for James Bond by Ian Fleming in the novel Casino Royale, I tweaked the coloring of this display car to make its appearance even closer to the battleship-grey convertible coupe described in 1953 Ian Fleming book. Also did more than a little adjusting in post to get lighting and parallax the way I felt they needed to be for the final image output here. Graflex Pacemaker 23 Speed Graphic roll-film camera, serial number corresponding to a 1947 manufacture date; fitted with Kodak Ektar 101mm f/4.5 professional lens, circa 1953. I used this quite a bit to photograph events in the 1980s for situations where significantly enlarged prints were anticipated.
