Cool Cone ice cream shop, near my office in Belleville, Michigan. Sort of an independent version of Dairy Queen, I guess. Taken in the midst of a persistent winter snowfall, with building closed for the season. Loved the contrast of product versus environment; at the same time, imagining how welcome this image would be in the heat of summer business, customers lined up for whatever cool they could get here.

Photographed using Leica X2 digital camera with Elmarit 24mm f/2.8 lens: APS-C sensor (23.6mm x 15.8mm), 16.2 megapixels; set to f/5.6 at 1/500-second exposure, ISO 100; daylight. Composed for 7 x 5 aspect ratio; raw to jpeg. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 4.
