Long-disused car and section of track from "Ann Arbor Railroad System," Saline, Michigan. The spur is terminated maybe 50 feet behind where I was positioned when taking this photo; in high school, I actually waited on the street in my car for a regularly-scheduled train to pass across on this line. Seemed like the sort of photo one "should" take with a Leica camera. It was also my fiftieth birthday.

Photographed using Leica X2 digital camera with Elmarit 24mm f/2.8 lens: APS-C sensor (23.6mm x 15.8mm), 16.2 megapixels; set to f/2.8 at 1/400-second exposure, ISO 100; daylight. Composed for 10 x 8 aspect ratio; raw to jpeg. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 4.
